Why should I support WER?

With over 30 partner organisations around the world, WER is committed to working closely with local people who understand the needs of their communities at grassroots levels. This means that we do not impose an outsider’s view of how a project should work, but we work together with others to develop long-term strategies to improve the lives of children, their families and communities. Through these partnerships, WER is empowering communities to build a brighter future for their children.

88.7 pence in every £1 donated to WER is spent on direct charitable expenditure, thereby reaching those most in need of our assistance. Direct monitoring of funds, together with evaluation reports and visits, also ensures that unnecessary spending or corruption is avoided.

WER recognises today’s children as the leaders and decision makers of tomorrow. By investing in the education and well-being of children, WER is helping children to break free from the cycle of poverty and is empowering young people to help themselves.
