World Emergency Relief
|
This address is an archived page of an older site that once stood on this domain. The pages kept here are reference material and are not the site of any relief organisation; no appeal is being made and no payment details are published on this domain.
The subject the page belonged to is worth a note of its own. Emergency relief appeals are judged by the same few questions wherever they are raised: which legal entity receives the money, where its registration can be looked up, whether it publishes accounts, and how much of a donation reaches the field rather than the fundraising that produced it. An appeal that answers those in public is easy to verify; one that asks for a transfer to a personal account, or gives no registered name at all, is not. That test is worth applying before a donation, not after.
